Dannah Ziegert, Ph.D., Ed.S.
Specializing in Psychological Evaluation and Psychotherapy

Do you find you or your child in a place you never imagined you would be? Are you or your child feeling overly sad or worried, having difficulty concentrating, or feeling like your emotions are out of your control? These feelings may result from more acute issues, like the break up of a relationship or abuse, or more ongoing circumstances, like stress, poor work performance, or poor social relations.
My approach to psychotherapy combines cognitive and behavioral approaches in order to modify thinking patterns and the environment to allow for behavioral changes.  Therapy may focus on working directly with a person to assist him/her in developing tools to think in a healthier way, feel better, act differently, make better choices, and enhance learning.  In working with children and adolescents, emphasis may additionally be on providing a parent with the appropriate tools to become an effective change agent in addressing his/her child’s difficulties.
